About Me

I’m a science writer with a PhD in biology. I grew up in Adelaide, Australia, and currently live in Philadelphia with my husband and two cats.

I write about science and researchers for universities and research institutions including UC Davis, Dartmouth, Scripps Research, and Mass General Brigham. I’ve written broadly about ecology, evolution, molecular biology, neuroscience, biomedical research, conservation, agriculture, and climate science. Click here to read my writing.

Before becoming a fulltime science writer, I completed a PhD in ecology and evolutionary biology at Princeton University and a Masters in biology at Macquarie University (Australia).
